Our goal is to practice, research, and divulge Syntropic Farming, focusing our activities on the Mediterranean climate.
Syntropic Farming has the ultimate goal to run agricultural production within plantations that mimic the natural eco-system of the sight within it’s structure, function, and dynamic. Instead of exploiting the system, it is the goal to create resources - richer ecosystems - by producing food and raw materials within biodiverse agro-ecosystems.

Driver behind this initiative is Marc Leiber. 25 years old, he has obtained a bachelors degree in Conventional Agriculture. This study he pursued to understand the realities of modern farming, in order to be able to seek answers on how to impact the manner in which food is produced on a large scale. Many answers to his questions came when he met Ernst Götsch, with whom he has now been studying for over three years. The total of nine months he has spent working and living in the cacao plantations of Götsch have completely changed his life, where he saw first hand what a positive impact a human can have on the eco-system that surrounds him, while achieving incredibly high agricultural productivity. Now he seeks this form of living on his farm in the Portuguese Alentejo and works to put into practice the knowledge and experience he has gained throughout the past years.
